The Challenge

Heatons are one of the largest independent office product dealers in the UK. When we began our partnership with Heatons, their digital presence was some way off reflecting the vibrant, bustling business their company had become. For a company whose range of services extends from selling biros to extensive office refurbishments, creating and presenting a flexible, professional brand was a high priority.

The Solution

With over 20,000 products on offer, and a highly-competitive industry with rivals ready to take advantage of any user frustration, it was imperative to design a user experience which made searching, filtering and purchasing products as swift and as simple as possible. Our developers poured over every line of code, cutting load times and increasing code efficiency, whilst the design centred around a simplicity of navigation, helping customers get to exactly where they needed to be.

While different divisions of the Heatons business cater to different products and sectors, it was important to present the business as a single brand. To achieve this, we assigned every division of the site its own palette, allowing the user to see at a glance where in the site they are, but retaining the overall shape and tone of the Heatons parent brand. The Heatons website has become the benchmark by which many competitors assess their own digital presence.
